Flying High as a Kite

"Flying High as a kite" is an expression we all have heard. It describes one's excitement, state of sobriety, or a far-out attitude.Those high school basketball teams still in the running for a state championship are "flying high as a kite" for sure!

But March winds already are bringing back memories of the fun times of flying kites as kids or with our children. Perhaps this month would be a good time to test our skills with a young child and share with them the excitement of 'flying a kite into the high skies'. The hardest part is getting the string untangled and getting the wind to "lift the kite off the ground". Up, up, up it will go! The wind will rush in and lift the kite higher and higher in an unbelievable manner. What a thrill!
