Former Tiders shine in NCAA play

Three former Minden Crimson Tide players took part in some NCAA football action this weekend.

Hunter Leppert, Milton Shelton and Byron Brown all saw playing time for their respective colleges.

Leppert had the biggest impact as the starting quarterback for the University of Arkansas-Monticello Boll Weevils.

Leppert, who was named conference player of the week last week, led the Boll Weevils to a 41-0 win over Texas College. He went 26 of 42 for 256 yards and a touchdown.
