Firefighter killed in Bienville Parish crash

MOUNT OLIVE — A firefighter is dead following a crash involving a firetruck Monday night near Mount Olive in Bienville Parish.

Robert B. Thomas, 52, of Quitman was driving a Bienville Fire District 7 Freightliner firetruck carrying about 1,000 gallons of water on Louisiana Highway 155 around 10:30 p.m. when the crash occurred, according to state police.
