Heflin library closed

Public meeting to address concerns

Repair expenses, security concerns and low use prompted closure of Heflin’s library branch on August 4 by the Webster Parish Library (WPL) board. A public meeting to discuss whether Heflin should reopen will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 28 at library’s main branch in Minden.

Heflin resident Anita Goodson is concerned if the branch doesn’t reopen, citizens who rely on its resources will lose out.
