Randy Shelley announces bid for re-election

Randy Shelley, is current Marshal in Ward 1, Webster Parish Minden City Court. Born August 2, 1951, in Minden Shelley grew up in Doyline, where he attended Doyline High School and First Baptist Church of Doyline. His parents are Jack and Ruth Gordon Shelley. His children are Kristi Shelley Kaspar, Rayla Brooke Shelley and Josh Davis, and and he has eight grandchildren. Shelley has been married twice to the late Debbie Francis Shelley and Gayla Beck Shelley.

"I moved to Minden and joined the Minden Police Department Jan. 1, 1974, where I worked all shifts as a uniformed officer and plain clothes detective," Shelley said. "I worked under the supervision of eight mayors and four chiefs, before I retired in 1994 as Lt. Shift Supervisor."
