Minden St. Jude Auction blows by $1M

The Minden St. Jude Auction made history Sunday evening by blowing the top off their 2012 goal and bringing in more than $1,065,000 for children's cancer research.

And it all happened on the 50th anniversary of the founding of St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by Danny Thomas.

To make the occasion even more historic, Pete Treat, the man who kicked off the very first event in Minden 36 years ago, was on-hand to see the huge group of volunteers surpass their million-dollar goal.
