Notice causing confusion

A statement in a new public notice required by state law has caused concern and confusion about the reappraisal of property tax rates.

"The notice shall contain a statement that the recipient body intends to consider at the hearing levying additional or increased millage rates without further voter approval," according to RS 47:1705 B(2)(c)(i.)

The phrase "without further voter approval" has caused the concern.
