Police officer fired

An 18-year veteran with Minden Police Department has been relieved of his badge and gun by members of the Minden City Council.

Following an executive session that lasted more than two hours, the council voted 4 to 1 to terminate Lt. Tim Morris on the grounds he violated policy and procedure.
