Log Rolling

Patrick Allen, 34, of Shreveport was slightly injured Monday when the 18-wheeler he was driving overturned. According to reports, Allen, who drives for Turnip Seed Trucking of Stonewall, was traveling south on Homer Road (U.S. Hwy. 79), when he negotiated a left turn onto Hwy. 531 causing his load of logs to shift and the tractor-trailer rig to land on its side. Allen told officers at the scene that his brakes failed. He refused medical treatment.
