Man opts for weed over taco

Some people consume Mexican food in celebration of Cinco de Mayo. Others prefer the taste of marijuana – especially when confronted by a Minden Police officer.

Cordero Heard, 25, of the 500 block of High Street, was arrested Sunday, May 5 and charged with felony possession of CDS Sch. I marijuana, possession of a firearm by a convicted felony, illegal carrying of a weapon and loud music.
