LPSC to study profits of utility providers
Low borrowing costs, reduced risk of operation and other factors argue for a review of Louisiana utilities' government-backed profits as high as 11 percent, according to Public Service Commission Chairman Foster Campbell.
"The LPSC has an obligation to the people of Louisiana to determine whether profits it guarantees to Entergy, SWEPCO, CenterPoint Energy and other investor-owned utilities are too high," Campbell said.
