Trial set in sex crimes case

Just a few short weeks after one Webster Parish man was found guilty and another was sentenced to life in prison on similar charges, a Cotton Valley man is facing a jury trial on July 7.

In February, Michael Dale Downs, 34, of the 300 block of Magnolia Camp Road, Cotton Valley, was arrested and charged with one count of aggravated rape, one count of forcible rape, two counts of indecent behavior with juveniles and two counts of molestation of juveniles.
