Graveside services for Gladys Miller Hough were held today (Monday, June 11, 2012) at 2 p.m. at Woodard Cemetery in Taylor under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home. Officiating was the Rev. Jimmy Eppinette.
Gladys was born May 17, 1916, raised in Taylor and passed away Friday, June 8, 2012 at Pilgrim Manor Guest Care in Bossier City at the age of 96. She retired from Louisiana Army Ammunition Plant in Minden, and Mrs. Hough enjoyed needlework and working in her yard.
Her parents, Isaiah and Jessie Miller of Taylor; first husband, Clyde Walker, of Monroe; second husband, H.C. Hough, of Minden; brother, Prentiss Miller of Taylor; and son, C.W. Walker of Bossier City preceded her in death.
Left to cherish her memories are her daughter-in-law, Gayle Walker of Bossier City; grandson, Kent Walker and wife, Delaine Walker of Shreveport; great-grandchildren, Lauren Walker of New Orleans and Adam Walker of Taylor.
The family wishes to thank all the staff at Pilgrim Manor Guest Care Center and Agape Hospice Care for the care and support shown to Mrs. Hough and her family.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
