Robert Barry Hunter

Robert Barry Hunter

After a courageous battle with cancer, Robert Barry Hunter went home peacefully to be with the Lord on Sept. 8, 2011. He proudly served our country in the U.S. Army, the U.S. Air Force Reserves and worked as a civilian at Military Entrance Processing Station for the remainder of his career.

Survived to cherish his memory are daughter, Kristi Hunter; son, Kevin Hunter and wife, Meredith and their three children; brother, Billy Moore and wife, Paula; sister, Deborah Prince and husband, Eddie; and numerous nephews and nieces. He will truly be missed by all.

Celebrating his arrival in heaven are his parents, Elmer and Deloris Hunter and, dear to his heart, Dee Dee and Veta Jowers.

Sincere appreciation to Southern Care Hospice and friends, Martha Hunter, Gary and Melinda Smithey and Norman “Squeeky” McGuire.

Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2011 at Northwest Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 7970 Mike Clark Road, Keithville.
