Come . . . Go

Have you ever attended an extremely inspiring meeting that was so satisfying you wished it would never end? What must it have been like for the disciples to sit raptly listening to Jesus?! He gave the invitation "Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest" Matthew 11:28. That invitation, as well as the following, is still extended to us. "If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink" John 7:37. How much we each need to avail ourselves of those invitations to find both rest and satisfaction for our spiritual thirst. But once we have rested, once we have drunk, it is time to share the acquired blessing.
