Tech journalism professor elected to statewide office

Dr. Elizabeth Barfoot Christian, an assistant professor of journalism, has been elected to serve as vice president of Louisiana Press Women for the 2011-2013 term.

"I am excited to be able to get involved in service to this organization," Christian said. "I have been involved only very superficially, and I look forward to this great opportunity.
