Bowhunters and squirrel hunters head to the woods

Hot dry weather over the past months notwithstanding, it's time to take off the gloves and get ready for battle, especially if you hunt deer with archery equipment or if you have a thing about trying to sneak up on squirrels.

Seasons for both kicked off Saturday October 1 and depending on your preference, the woods undoubtedly were astir with activity Saturday morning.
