MHS golf team plays at Castor

CASTOR — The Minden High golf teams took part in the recent Castor High School Golf Tournament and came away with some good finishes.

The tourney was held at Arcadia's Trail's End Golf Club, and was hosted by the Castor High School Golf Team. Seven area high schools took part in the tournament.

Bailey Hassel placed fifth overall in the girls division with 12 girls competing, and Chase Toland led the boys team placing in the top ten.

Others participating for the Tide were Marshall Frye, Jacob Lester, Colby Williams, Conner Williams, Austin Talley, and Matt Higgens.

The MHS Golf team will be on the course again next Monday traveling to Coushatta to play in the Red River High School Tournament and then will host a large high school tournament on Monday, May 2 at The Grove.

The Minden High JV team took on the Loyola JV team Monday night and won 9-8.
