Lakeside kicks off cross country season

RUSTON —The Lakeside Warriors began their 2011 cross country season with a bang at the Choudrant Invitational held in Ruston.

The Lady Warriors were led by junior Anna Davidson who sped to a time of 20:23 to place second over the hill three-mile course.  Heather Schenck ran a personal best of 22:32.7 to place ninth in the 50 girl field.

Zach Levesque paced the Warrior guys with a personal best of 16:30 to place fourth in the field of 73.  The senior ran an average of 5:30 for each mile.  James Taylor ran a 17:44 to place 13th in the race.  Nic Petty finished 44th coming in at 21:56.
