Doyline Lady Panthers to host Hathaway

The Louisiana High School Athletic Association girls basketball playoff brackets were released on Monday, and only one Webster Parish girls high school made the cut.

The Doyline Lady Panthers.

Minden High finished 15-12 on the season and #35 in the last power rankings, just missing the Class 4A playoffs.

Benton, Huntington, Woodlawn and Loyola College Prep were the playoff teams from District 1-4A.

The Lady Panthers, led by coach Michael Normand, finished their regular season with a 17-12 record. Doyline will be the #15 seed in the Class B playoffs and will host Hathaway on Thursday.

Hathaway comes in as the # 18 seed and finished their season with a sub .500 record at 8-20.

If the Lady Panthers beat Hathaway, their next game could prove to be daunting. The Lady Panthers will more than likely face Class B's #2 seed, Stanley High School.
