New ordinance cannot impact existing mobile homes in Minden

Minden's new ordinance governing mobile homes and manufactured buildings has accomplished one goal: standards for newly placed mobile homes are now rigid and city officials say they will be enforced.

But the new ordinance's rules and regulations cannot be used to enforce standards on the city's existing mobile homes. Those mobile homes come under governance of laws existing at the time the mobile homes were placed.
