Pistol fished out of Turner’s Pond

Receding waters in Turner's Pond exposed more than dirt on Wednesday, when a small caliber automatic handgun was found by a child in an area that would normally be under water.

Five-year-old Alora Lingenfelter found the handgun where she was digging in the mud.

According to Minden Police Chief Steve Cropper it is a .25 caliber manufactured by F.I.E. Corporation.
