Financial woes still hound jury

Financial woes related to state and federal regulations dominated Webster Parish Police Jury's (WPPJ) November 1 meeting.

Concerns about state statutes requiring parishes to advertise bids electronically, as well as on paper, returned to the agenda this month.

"There was legislation passed this year that our population requires us to file electronic bidding," WPPJ Secretary-Treasurer Ronda Carnahan said.
