Schools miss the grade

Superintendent says ‘D’ does not accurately reflect grade

Grades may be in but Webster Parish's District Performance Score of a "D" does not reflect the truth, according to Superintendent of Schools Steve Dozier.

Not performance, but a new standard or a "raising of the bar" by the Louisiana Department of Education affected the parish's letter grade, which would have been a "C" under last year's standards, according to Dozier.
