Local man faces charges in assault on ex-girlfriend

It’s not such a beautiful day in the neighborhood for this Mr. Rogers after Minden Police arrested him for beating his ex-girlfriend and harming their six-month-old child.

Jalen D. Rogers, 19, of the 1000 block of S. Talton Street was arrested for home invasion, simple battery, cruelty to a juvenile, simple criminal damage to property and remaining after being forbidden by management at Webster Manor Apartments on Bayou Avenue.

He is being held on bonds totaling $65,000.
