Videos guide police to thief

Security footage from the parking lot of a local discount store was key in catching a man who was allegedly stealing items from vehicles belonging to shoppers.

Lorenzo Alfaro, 53, of the 1500 block of Harvey Barbershop Road in Dubberly, has been charged with two counts of felony theft and a hold has been placed on him by Probation and Parole.

Minden Police Chief Steve Cropper said his office received two phone calls – one on September 3 and the other on September 7 – from store customers who were missing items from their vehicles.
