Dill pickles, sweet pickles or bread and butter pickles – as long as they are homemade cucumber pickles they are wanted for the Pickle Contest, a new addition to Minden's Fasching, Fifth Season Festival.
For those who enter the contest, only cucumber pickles will qualify but, said Sue Gruber, pickle contest chairman, "You can make bread and butter pickles, sweet pickles or dill pickles.
