Welcome?

Welcome?

A welcoming sign at the juncture of Sibley Road and Lee Street in Minden was damaged Thursday afternoon when Earnest Booker, Jr. drove his Nissan Altima into the sign. Booker reportedly told Minden Police Officers that he was traveling north on Sibley Road when he began to feel ill and may have had a blackout. He stated he awoke to his vehicle veering off the road and into the sign. He sustained moderate injuries but refused transportation to medical facilities. The sign has reportedly been hit several times. When public property is involved in motor vehicle accidents, the city attempts to file an insurance claim.
