Heard speaks to Minden Lions Club

When Spencer Heard visited the Minden Lions Club on Thursday, he spoke briefly about Xs and Os and thoughts about the season and team personnel. However, those comments were secondary to a discussion of coaching philosophy and what he deemed the most important part of his job.

"I know ultimately, we are going to be judged by how many games we win," Heard told the local civic group. "But I tell my players to have a different assessment of success. If they are doing everything they can, everything possible to try to win, then they are successful. And they will see that if they do that, then wins will take care of themselves.
