Tide’s A.J. Shine signs with SUSLA

Minden High basketball standout A.J. Shine will continue his basketball career as he recently signed a letter-of-intent to play basketball for Southern University- Shreveport (SUSLA).

Shine will play for Jaguars head coach David Francis at SUSLA. The Jags compete at the Division I level and are a member of the MISS-LOU Conference. Conference members include Bossier Parish Community College, Delgado Community College, Meridian Community College and Mary Holmes Community College.

Shine was again a steady offensive performer and leader for the Tide this year as he averaged 17.7 points and 7.5 rebounds per game.
He started three years at Minden High and was a three-time All-District and All-Parish performer, as well as a two-time 4A All-State player.
