BENTON —The Minden Crimson Tide were down by six runs heading into the top of the seventh against Benton on Saturday, but then scored six runs to rally back to a 9-8 district win.
The Tide trailed 8-3 heading into the seventh. After an out, Tyler Zachary walked and Derek Herrington doubled to put runners on second and third. Sam Shoemaker was then hit by a pitch to load the bases. Turner Francis drew a walk to force in a run.
After another out, McCaul Lacobee walked forcing in another run and then Carson Bolyer’s hard-hit ball was mishandle by the Benton shortstop, allowing another run to score. With the score, 8-6, Javieon Johnson clubbed a bases-loaded triple to cap the rally, scoring all three runners to give the Tide the lead, and eventually the win.
