Brown retires after 20 years in Army

Brown retires after 20 years in Army

Staff Sergeant Brown is a native of Heflin and a graduate of Sibley High School. After graduation he entered the Marine Corps and attended Basic Training in August 1992 at Camp Pendleton, California.

His initial assignment was as a Field Radio Operator, with the 3rd Marine Corps Expeditionary Command, Okinawa, Japan. After returning stateside, he was assigned to 1st Surveillance Reconnaissance Intelligence Group, 9th Communication Battalion, Camp Pendleton, California.
