Who said unicorns aren't real? A real live pink-haired unicorn will make its debut as the Minden Farmers Market opens one last time Saturday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. Anyone with veggies, crafts, art or handmade goods is invited to set up to sell free of charge.
"It's one last hurrah before school starts," Tina McKissack, Farmers Market chairwoman, said. "We wanted to offer our vendors one last chance to sell their end-of-the-summer veggies and our patrons one last time to enjoy the last days of summer before the kids have to go back to school."
