Funeral services for David Roy Thrasher, 56, of Dubberly were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 20, 2014, in Rockett Funeral Home Chapel in Ringgold. Officiating was the Rev. Gevan Spinney. Burial followed in Mount Olive Cemetery at Sailes. Visitation was from 5 until 8 p.m., Saturday, July 19, 2014, at Rockett Funeral Home.
David was born April 19, 1958, in Shreveport and passed away on July 17, 2014, in Shreveport. David worked for Blazer in Sibley for 29 years.
He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Roy Thrasher and his father- and mother-in-law, L. M. and Opal Coffey.
Left to cherish his memories are his wife, Patti Coffey Thrasher of Dubberly; daughter, Celeste Nichole Thrasher of Dubberly; mother, Francis Juanita Bell of Minden; grandson, Jaydon Bryce Thrasher of Dubberly; brother, Jeff Thrasher and wife, Angie of Ringgold; sister-in-law, Shella Harris and husband, Alfred of Haughton; brother-in-law, Dale Coffey and wife, Rose of Dixie Inn; grandson's father, Maynard Miller of Dubberly; special friend, Johnny Womack of Ringgold; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Lee Massey, Bruno Hall, Randy Campbell, Barry Miller, Jack Stevens, Mike Powell, James Roy Powell and Jimmy Hart. Honorary Pallbearers were Johnny Womack, Hunt Powell and James Powell.
