Wet roads and bad tires may have been contributing factors in a two-vehicle crash on Homer Road late Monday afternoon that resulted in one person being seriously injured. According to police reports, a 1984 Buick Regal, driven by 22-year-old Dantavoin Harris of Minden was traveling north on U.S. Hwy. 79 when it may have hydroplaned sending it into the path of an oncoming 2010 GMC Sierra, driven by 43-year-old Charles Trim of Sibley. Witnesses said Harris' vehicle slid sideways into the opposing lane, where it was T-boned by the truck. Harris was transported to Minden Medical Center by Advanced Ambulance. He was then transferred to University Health Center by Pafford Air. He is listed in serious condition today. There were no passengers in either vehicle and Trim was not injured. No citations have been issued.
