Woman admits to $100K tax fraud

BATON ROUGE — A 38-year-old Baton Rouge woman has admitted preparing false federal income tax returns over a two-year period, defrauding the government out of nearly $100,000.

The Advocate reports LaKindra Williams pleaded guilty Monday before U.S. District Judge James Brady to aiding and assisting in the preparation of false federal tax returns in 2008 and 2009.
