BATON ROUGE — For a brief time last summer, former Heflin mayor Judy Tillman was considering a run for the office she vacated when her constituents successfully had her recalled.
"We cannot find any prohibition in the election code that would keep the former mayor from qualifying," Secretary of State spokesperson Brandy Patrick said at the time. "If she wants her old job back, she's just as qualified as anyone else to fill her own unexpired term. All she has to do is sign up and pay her fee."Subscribe to Read!
