Shongaloo man accused of attacking sister

BolingSHONGALOO — A north Webster Parish man is behind bars after allegedly injuring his sister during domestic altercation.

Donovin S. Boling, 21, of the 1200 block of Haynes Road in Shongaloo, was arrested by Webster Parish Sheriff's deputies dispatched to his home Thursday afternoon.

"Boling's sister told the dispatcher that Boling came toward her with a knife, saying he was going to kill her," Webster Sheriff Gary Sexton said. "She said he slammed her to the ground and she got up and called 911."

The victim told the deputy that Boling became angry with her because she called police and chased her, slamming her to the ground a second time.

"She said there was a sharp pain under her breast from being slammed by Boling," Sexton said. "She was afraid one of her ribs was broken, so an ambulance was dispatched."

Boling was charged with second-degree battery and aggravated assault. He is housed at Bayou Dorcheat Correctional Center.
