Funeral services for Calvin W. Morgan will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home Chapel in Minden. Officiating will be the Rev. Steven Smithson, the Rev. Ronnie Whitlock, Lonnie Simpson and Ernie Banks. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden with military graveside rites. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m., Friday, May 2, 2014, at Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden.
Calvin was born August 10, 1923, in Minden and entered into rest April 30, 2014, in Minden. Calvin was employed and retired from Sanitary Dairy, was a member of North Acres Baptist Church, VFW, American Legion, Knights of Pythius and World War II Patriots Circle.
His wife of 66 years, Katie Ruth Maxey Morgan preceded him in death.
He is survived by his daughters, Diana Perdue and husband, Doug of McKenzie, Tenn., Judy McGee of Magnolia, Ark., and Flo McEachern and husband, Ellis of Minden; sister, Shirley Wimberly of Minden; grandchildren, Christy Dohogne and husband, Chris of Medon, Tenn., Amy Rudd and husband, Robert of Magnolia, Ark., MiAnn McEachern of Minden and Brad McEachern and wife, Lillie of Minden; great-grandchildren, Ellyot Hites, Katie Hites, Tristan Starkey, Zane McEachern, Morgan Starkey, Macy McEachern and Jase McEachern; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Ernie and Virginia Banks.
Pallbearers will be Ellis McEachern, Brad McEachern, Zane McEachern, Robert Rudd, Robert Irving and Willie Bays.
The family extends special thanks to Meadowview Health and Rehab, Atrium Staff and Rehab Department, Gamble Hospice nurses; Amanda, Denita, and Bee and Brother Steven Smithson.
