Agreement reached in Dubberly natural gas issue

DUBBERLY — A few dozen Dubberly residents are breathing a sigh of relief as instead of receiving $5,000 to convert their homes to propane, they're getting natural gas service from CenterPoint Energy.

In February, 38 residents, including a church, received letters from Atmos Energy that their natural gas service would cease May 1 as Gulf South Pipeline was abandoning the line under Lake Bistineau that delivered fuel to their homes.
