The Minden Crimson Tide used a big six-run bottom of the fifth to power past North DeSoto Tuesday night at Griffith Stadium.
The Tide led early, 1-0, but fell behind 4-1 as the Griffins scored a pair of runs in the top of the fourth and fifth innings.
But the Tide came back with six run sin the fifth and then added two more in the sixth to take the 9-4 win.
Turner Francis started on the mound for the Tide and went the first 4 1/3 innings. He scattered six hits and struck out seven. All four runs scored against him were unearned. Caleb Jones came on in the fifth and pitched the final 2 2/3 innings, allowing two hits and striking out four.
Carson Bolyer had a big day at the plate driving in three runs with a single and a double.
Mikey James singled, doubled and drove in a run and Hutton Leppert added a RBI and a double. Sawyer Stephens and Caleb Jones both added singles and drove in runs and Gunner Stephens and Turner Francis both added base hits.
James, and Gavin Smith stole bases, and Francis had two.
The Crimson Tide will host Loyola Thursday night at 6 p.m. at Griffith Stadium.
