Collins takes two titles in Haynesville

HAYNESVILLE — The Lakeside Warriors traveled to the Haynesville Invitational at the North Webster High school Track complex.

At the same time Shanae Collins was making a 12 hour trek from a basketball recruiting trip in Nebraska. The long trip didn't seem to hurt as Collins won the long jump at 15'8" and the 100 meters at 12.82. She also took second in the triple jump at 33'1", a personal best.

Alissa Landers also lead the ladies to their highest point total of the season as she won the 800 at 2:46 and the 1600 at 5:59. Lander also took fourth in the 400 with a time of 29.20. Cayla McKinsey took fifth in the 100 at 13.4 and fourth in the 200 at 28.30.

In the 3200 Brooke Walker placed second at 16:12. Heather Shneck placed fifth in the 400 with a season best of 71.03.

Other field even points were a fourth place and fifth place in the triple jump by Desiree Joiner with a personal best leap of 30'1".

In the boy's field events Frankie Miles and Javion Teel both cleared 5' 10" in the high jump to finish third and fourth.

Trey Owens and DJ Harrison finished fourth and 5th in the javelin with 128'0" and 117'0" throws. Owens also placed fifth in the shot at 34'0".

Ty Callendar placed fourth in the discus at 87.0" and Jackson Rowell place fifth at 90'0". Ahmad Bishop was fifth in the triple jump at 38'1".

Chris Lewis and Cody Robinson lead the way on the track. Lewis won the 100 at 10.6 and ran opening legs on the winning 800 relay and second place 400 Relay. Robinson easily won the 3200 at 11:08 and was fourth in the 800 with a personal best of 2:20.

Darryl Moore took second in the 400 with a season best 50.9. Maurice Moore was fifth in the 100 at 11.1. Lewis, Moore, Moore, and McCarter won the 800 Relay at 1:30.7 and was second in the 400 relay at 43.24.

Leonardo McCarter finished fourth in the 200 at 24.50 and Ahmad Bishop was fifth at 24:60. Eric Greene took second in the 800 (2:17) and the 1600 (4:59). Tyler Davis was fourth in the 3200 (12:15). Deandre Shehee took fifth in the 300 Hurdles at 49.92.

Next action for the warrior teams will be at Haughton on Thursday, April 17th. Field events begin at 3 p.m. while running starts at 4 p.m.
