This week in baseball

The Webster Parish high school baseball teams are entering the final weeks of their 2014 regular season and are heavy into their district games.

Here's a brief look at who and where our local teams are playing.

Minden High

The Crimson Tide are scheduled for two home games and one road game this week.

Today, the Tide are hosting North DeSoto at 6 p.m. and then will host Loyola on Thursday.

The Thursday game will also be Minden's "Little League Night." All Minden little leaguers that wear their jersies to the game will be admitted free.

Saturday, the Tide will play a 1 p.m. game at Northwood.


The Lakeside Warriors will play four games this week.

The Warriors will host Calvary and Homer today and Thursday with both games beginning at 6 p.m.

Friday, the Warriors will host OCHS in a make up game. The jv will play at 1 p.m. and the varsity will play at 3 p.m.

Saturday, the Warriors will travel to Haynesville to take on the Tors at 1 p.m.


The Glenbrook Apaches are enjoying their first-round bye in the MAIS playoffs this week, after clinching their district championship.

North Webster

The North Webster Knights are scheduled to play at Bossier High School on Thursday (6 p.m.) and then will host the Bearkats on Friday at 6 p.m.

Saturday, the Knights will host Taylor (Ark.) at 1 p.m.
