COUSHATTA — The Lakeside Warriors rolled past Red River Thursday, shutting out the Bulldogs, 19-0.
The Warriors out-hit the Bulldogs 20-2 and scored three runs in the first, 10 in the second, one in the third, three in the fourth and two more in the fifth.
Josh Prince, Luke Griffith and Jake Gray all shared the load on the mound. Prince started and went the first two innings, allowing no hits and striking out four. Griffith struck out three in a scoreless, hitless inning, and Jake Gray closed out the final two, allowing two hits and striking out five.
Chase Woodall led the bats with two doubles and a single and Chris Brantley doubled twice. Coulson White had two singles and two RBIs. Griffith had a RBI-double, and Thomas Lambert doubled and drove in three runs.
Jake Gray had two singles, Cameron Corely singled twice and drove in a run, as did Tanner Page. Frank Chanler went two-for-two and Prince added two singles. Braydon Jones also singled.
The Warriors improved to 15-8 on the year and will head to Shreveport on Saturday to take on Loyola College Prep at 1 p.m. They will play at home twice next week as they host Calvary on Tuesday and Homer on Thursday.
