Earlier this week the Glenbrook Apaches split a doubleheader with the River Oaks Mustangs. And with the split, the Apaches clinched their district championship.
"It feels good to win another district title," Glenbrook coach Jonathan Hardy said. "I feel like we have to improve on some things before the playoffs start. We have to do a better job of situational hitting, picking up runner s in scoring position. And we have do a better job of making the routine plays defensively. But we'll work on that in practice before the playoffs start."
Glenbrook will have a first-round bye in the MAISE playoffs.
Spencer White took the win in the first game, a 4-0 Apache win. He went all seven innings striking out eight.
Logan Clark and Jacob White each had two hits and Dakota Shinall, Spencer White and Connor Copeland all added base hits.
The Apaches lost the second game, 7-4. Jacob White had two hits.
The Apaches also honored their seniors, Dakota Shinall, Connor Copeland, Dalton Scruggs, Cason Featherston, Triston Sanders and Braden Dickson before the games.
