SHREVEPORT — The Minden Crimson Tide trailed the Loyola Flyers, 6-5, going into the top of the seventh inning on Tuesday.
The Tide then rallied for five runs and held Loyola scoreless in the bottom of the inning to take a 10-6 District 1-4A win.
Turner Francis led the way at the plate for the Crimson Tide, as he went two-for-four with a double and a home run and drove in three runs. Austin Sumner doubled twice and Gavin Smith doubled and had two RBI.
Mikey James doubled and drove in a run, and Carson Bolyer and Trace Francis both added RBI-singles. Sawyer Stephens added a single.
Stephens started on the mound and went the first 4 2/3 allowing two earned runs and striking out six. Trace Francis pitched an inning and a third with two strikeouts and
Turner Francis closed out the game with a scoreless, hitless seventh inning, striking out one.
The Crimson Tide will be back in action on Thursday as they host Northwood.
