Funeral services for Mary Evelyn Brown Kennedy will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at First United Pentecostal in Minden. Officiating will be the Rev. J. N. Holmes, pastor of First Pentecostal Church of North Little Rock, Ark., the Rev. Nathan Holmes, the Rev. Jeff Ramsey and the Rev. Dewayne Butler. Interment will follow at Gardens of Memory in Minden under the direction of Rose-Neath Funeral Home in Minden. The family will receive friends at 5 p.m., Tuesday, March 25, 2014, and until service time at First United Pentecostal Church in Minden. There will be a memorial service Saturday evening, March 29, 2014 at First Pentecostal Church in North Little Rock.
Mary Evelyn was born May 14, 1944, in Minden and changed her address to the Heavenly Gates March 22, 2014, in Minden.
She was secretary for First Pentecostal Church in North Little Rock for 26 years, a devoted Christian, wife, mother and grandmother.
Her grandparents, Thomas and Willie Upshaw and Tom and Holly Brown; parents, Calvin and Jewell Brown; brother, Cecil Alton Brown; sister, Vonceil Baylis; and son, Jonathan David Kennedy preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Gerald H. Kennedy of North Little Rock, Ark.; son, Gerald Nathanael Kennedy and wife, Christi of North Little Rock, Ark.; daughter, Gloria Dawn Kennedy Fuller and husband, Tony of Minden; brothers, Billy Calvin Brown and wife, Betty of Minden and Maston Kenneth Brown and wife, Juanita of Minden; brother-in-law, Jerry Baylis of Minden; grandchildren, Rachel Fuller Bogdan, Andrea Kennedy Walker, Rebekah Fuller Bowman, Candace Kennedy Ladisky, Aaron Kennedy and Austin Fuller; great-grandchildren, Levi Bogdan, Aiden Demron, Tripp Bowman, Boston Walker, Carter Ladisky and McKenzie Walker; and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and a great host of church family members.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Kennedy, Austin Fuller, Ben Walker, Clark Ladisky, Dwayne Brown and Jason Baylis.
