The Glenbrook Apaches took a pair wins in the last week, beating Franklin 10-3 and Riverfield, 10-5.
Playing at Riverfield on Tuesday, the Apaches trailed late in the game before coming back to win, 10-5, earning their first district win of the year.
"We were down 5-4 heading into the seventh," Glenbrook coach Jonathan Hardy said. "And we were able to get six runs in the top of the inning."
Hardy gave credit for the team's never give up attitude to senior leadership.
"We have four senior starting," he said. "And every one of them produced in this game and was a big part of the victory. They showed us the way."
Spencer White started the game for the Apaches, going the first 1 1/3 innings before giving way to his brother Jacob. Jacob White went the final 5 2/3 innings to get the win, striking our six.
"I was very proud of the way Jacob came in and got the win," Hardy said. "He did a real good job for us."
Corey DeMoss led the Apaches at the plate with a three-for-four day. He had two singles, a double and drove in three runs.
Logan Clark doubled and singled and Dakota Shinall had two hits and a RBI. Cameron Matthews, Jacob White and Conner Copeland all added RBI-singles. Braden Dickson added a single.
Saturday against Franklin, the Apaches pulled out a 10-3 win.
Jacob White started and went the first four innings to get the win. Spencer White pitched two scoreless innings and Clark closed it out with two strikeouts in one inning of work.
