Bust nets $25K in meth

IMG 20140313 085622 083SPRINGHILL — An illegally parked car led Springhill police to a methamphetamine bust worth thousands of dollars Wednesday.

Police received a call from a concerned citizen regarding three vehicles parked in the handicapped spaces without tags identifying them as such at the Dollar General store on South Main Street, Chief Will Lynd said.

Officer Leon Thirdgill responded and waited for the drivers of the vehicles to emerge from the store. When Reiny Ratliff, 20, of the 300 block of South Park Street, went to one of the illegally parked cars, Thirdgill approached her to write tickets for that violation and an expired inspection sticker.
