CHOUDRANT — The Lakeside Lady Warriors split a pair of games over the weekend at the Choudrant Tournament.
Lakeside beat Dodson, 16-0, and then lost to Simsboro, 12-0.
Against Dodson, Kendelle Williams pitched all three innings to get the win. She allowed three hits and no runs while striking out five.
The Lady Warrior offense scored two runs in the bottom of the first, nine in the second and five more in the third to close out the game.
Deidra Johnston led the way at the plate with a single, double and a Grand Slam for four RBIs. Emily Maness doubled, homered and drove in four runs, and Emily Robinson added three singles. Taylor Doss had two hits and Jaylin Tilman had a RBI-single.
Against Simsboro, Emily Maness had two singles and Taylor Doss had one.
The Lady Warriors will host North DeSoto today, beginning at 5 p.m.
